Urssa will supply steel structures for the New York area zero
December 18, 2009
Commuter trains of the authority port Trans-Hudson, New York City subway and the rail link, with the John f. Kennedy International Airport can be connected through this complex infrastructure. The famous Spanish architect, along with American companies DMJM + Harris and STV Group, have designed a structure of glass and steel that will have the appearance of "a bird released by the hands of a child" for this project of reconstruction of ground zero.
Urssa has managed to participate in this unique work, having received in 2005 the AISC certification, by the 'American Institute of Steel Constructions', maximum certification USA so we can deliver steel structures to this country.
The 'World Trade Center Transportation Hub' of the ground zero project responds to a very risky design architect Santiago Calatrava, the curved shapes predominantly with classic designs. The design is based on a series of 'ribs' of steel with glass panels between them, to help you maximize the entry of light into the lower levels of the station.
