B & R X 20 presents: a device that combines all the requirements of the I/o system

More than a simple I/o system
As standard I/o, families X 20, X 67, XV and XP extend the scope of any system of control. The principle is as simple as efficient: the system is installed exactly according to needs. Regardless of whether is analog signal or digital inputs, of modules of temperature or valves, buttons or reading of encoder, X family has all types of signals and connection technologies. As simple as connect and configure.
The decentralized backpanel X2X from B & R represents a genuine innovation in terms of flexibility of the system. The Islands can be up to 100 meters one of the other. A maximum of 255 modules per line allows a total breakdown of about 25 kilometers.
Easy and essential
The complexity of automation should be limited to the application itself. Automation systems must be the solution and should not constitute a potential source of difficulties in the project. The X 20 system is a good platform to solve complex tasks. It is simple and intuitive and requires no special knowledge for your installation. For this reason helps to create fast and cost-effective solutions. The modularity for dividing the modules in three parts provides considerable advantages for the machine and for editors. The itme through terminals removes and pon, the ease of replacing modules damaged without stopping the machine and the possibility of adding possible extensions are examples.
12 channels at a width of just 12.5 millimetres is a never before achieved density, which is also combined with a few especially ergonomic Terminal. Thus the X 20 system offers 50% more channels than a conventional system without sacrificing terminals.
All families of modules are connected to a single backplane (X2X Link). Connected to this, X 20, X 67 modules XV or XP can be installed at a distance of up to 100 meters of the electrical panel. X2X Link guarantees immunity to external interferences due to a transmission based on twisted pair.
The bus drivers maintain the philosophy modular, easy-to-wire used by B & r. formed I/o modules for a standard module of basis to form the backplane, one of food for the system and the interface of the fieldbusbus drivers become greatly flexible elements. I.e., I/o backplane can be pre-installed, while the driver of the bus may be chosen later during the start-up launched according to the requirements of the machine.
67 X: for the most demanding working conditions
The fact mount I/o modules directly on a production machine implies that more hard work will be exposed to conditions. The X 67 system is perfectly equipped for optimal performance, because the modules are fully sealed and equipped with connector M8 and M12 of proven efficacy. Meet the standards that make the regulation of electromagnetic protection was also a priority during its development. The direct connection of the mesh of cables with the metal plate at the rear of the module is a good example of this.
Machines are becoming more powerful and at the same time smaller. This fact is also applicable for I/o modules. The X 67 system combines a very compact structure with a few very ergonomic connectors. All the elements of connection are easily accessible, even when all other cables have been connected. In spite of this the standard modules have barely the size of a credit card.
Easy connection of multiple valves
Using the XV, different types of multiple valves can be connected easily and affordably. Thus standard devices with connectors multi-pin instead of multiple valves which are very expensive fieldbus connectors can be connected.
All the multiple valves are always integrated in the same way. That is why if we do change of manufacturer shall not be necessary changes in the software or electrical schemes of the machine.
The 15th module is connected directly to the set of valves. The connection to the controller is achieved through the connection integrated in decentralized backplane. All the electronics needed to control the valves is located within a 25-pin DSUB connector, which connects directly to the to the set of valves. The 15th system is compatible with most major manufacturers, such as Bürkert, Festo, MetalWork, Norgren, Rexroth and SMC, among others.
Families of the I/o system
X 20 - Local or remote
20 X is a system of control and intelligent i/o, IP20, local or remote, where users design architecture and topology. Consists of a complete and wide range modules: DI, DO, AI, AO, thermocouples, PT100/1000, encoder, resolve, potentiometers, relais, RS232, CAN, load cells etc.
X 67 - with IP67 protection
67 X is the most robust variant of X 20 for out the electrical connection. Using the same technology, but endowed with a building more solid and integrating of 4 to 32 channels, this system guarantees economical solutions in the most demanding operating conditions.
XV - integrated Control of multiple valves
Development XV systems allows independent manufacturer of multiple valves and direct control. The result is a module of digital outputs of a size and is comparable with a standard 25 DSUB connector pins. In this way, using the standard multipulso of the manifold valve connector, we can choose the manufacturer freely.
XP - buttons
The remote buttons in B & R allows to put a set of independent buttons connected to the CPU via the X2X. The buttons are managed software as one module of I/o...
