Interview with David Ortega Luque, technical engineer of Raorsa machinery

Year after year, the importance of automating the plastics industry is increasingly present in the minds of those responsible for production in the various Spanish companies. In many sectors is almost required the existence of robots in their production processes, but there are many areas where Automation has not yet arrived to prevail. If we compare the number of injectors and robots sold in recent years, we can see how the number of robots percentage exceeds the injectors; This is due, of course, the modernization which are carrying out many companies which are imposing this kind of automation in its production plants.

Certainly the potential for the sale of robots in Spain is still great. There are many the injectors that have not yet been automated and, indeed, employers increasingly more have the possibility of installing robots because production costs are significantly reduced when a robot is installed on a machine of plastic injection. The advantages of acquiring a robot is more than evident: improvement of the quality and cleaning of the product (pieces for cromar, medicinal use, etc.), more repetitive cycle sequences, practically unnecessary handling of the product by the operator.

An industry always has to think about improving, technology is advancing every day and it would be unthinkable that a developer of robots not looked for the formula so that its products are up to date.
