Bequinor organized the course "Risk analysis within the framework of the rules of major accidents (Seveso)" in Madrid

Each day are more chemical companies affected by the Seveso legislation. The new limits of environmental impacts, the number of substances that are classified as dangerous for the environment, aspects related to the recently appeared Royal Decree 393/07, the need for analysis of environmental risk or concern for spatial planningto cite some examples, they give rise to the need for staff prepared the chemical companies to understand, interpret, and why, the studies of risk which is normative does not.

For this reason, Bequinor proposes a course with wide and detailed coverage based on four seminars.

The first seminar will include the view of the matter from the point of view of the Spanish competent authority, the General Directorate of Civil Defence and emergencies (Ministry of the Interior), developed according to the following points:

Panoramic view of the implementation of the Seveso II directive in Spain: role of the General Directorate of Civil Defence and emergencies (Ministry of the Interior)
Guides and technical tools developed by the Directorate-General for Civil protection and emergency assistance in the implementation of the regulations on the prevention of serious accidents in Spain.
New version of the AIDA application (aid to the interpretation of annex I to Royal Decree 1254 / 1999.)

In the same seminar, the explanation of methods for the identification of risks will be addressed.

The second seminar will aim at studying the calculation of the consequences of possible accidents on recipients of its effects characterized those because of their vulnerability.

The third seminar will be the consideration and analysis of the consequences of accidents on the environment.

The fourth seminar will address the cuantitativización of the risk analysis as a tool for the prosecution of facilities and projects in terms of its acceptability, of his need of modifications and improvements, or its unacceptability. Also pursued, thereby establishing measures and emergency plans indoor and outdoor industrial plant that was being considered.

The workshops will be taught by working professionals related to the scope of the regulation Seveso combining the experience of expert consultants in the analysis of risk Seveso and the security officers of companies affected by this regulation. This combination will clearly enrich the course having different points of view to commonalities.
