Laboralia, 2007, a fair specializing in the prevention of occupational hazards

The excellent results obtained in the third edition of Laboralia and its definite consolidation as referential fair of the sector of prevention make up the menu of Laboralia 2007 presentation, a contest in which the organization is already working towards strengthening their national and international character. For the next edition, to be held from May 30 to June 1, 2007, the Organization has carried out an intense communication campaign at national and international levels and to sign several agreements with major foreign countries concerned and committed to the safety and occupational health.

Also, Laboralia 2007, under the theme "Risk 0, first responsible for you" will feature four new thematic areas: medicine and health, safe equipment, technology and innovation and Control systems in industrial installations.

Laboralia is a monograph which is conceived as an important platform for the dissemination of the culture of prevention and as a professional space, through the concentration of conferences, demonstrations and technical seminars, allowing show attendees the latest initiatives and developments in the field of the prevention of occupational risks.

The goal for the Fourth Edition is to increase the visibility and professionalism acquired by Laboralia throughout its previous editions, a technical character that allows the fair to retain collective enterprise of interest to the world of the prevention of occupational hazards. Laboralia is a specialized forum, Edition after Edition, struggling to reduce workplace accidents of social reality showing, disseminating and making available of employers and preventive tools to reduce the numbers of accidents at work.

In this regard, the results achieved in the last edition certified social contest contribution, as can be seen from the satisfaction surveys to exhibitors and visitors, Laboralia is an essential instrument to ensure that occupational health and safety is a constant in the working stage of all countries.

Laboralia is aimed at all those jobs whose performance involves a physical risk, but also pays special attention to occupational diseases, how to prevent them and to all those actions which, in some way, contribute to improve the welfare of workers.

To this end, Laboralia hosts a series of conferences and technical seminars which joined the many demonstrations of products and services that are performed during the competition, allow to exhibitors, visitors and members of Congress to find, not only the broader debate on the prevention of occupational hazards, but also the largest exhibition of products and services related to the prevention sector. During Laboralia 2007 these activities will take place in the Centre of events of Feria Valencia, which will be opened soon.

Also, the preventive function of the fair still alive, between competitions, through Laboralia Virtual (http://laboraliavirtual.ibv.org), an online portal which, in addition to providing updated information on the preparations for the next exhibition, helps its users a means of dynamic communication with Laboralia, since it contains the full presentations of the congresses held during the fair, procedures and best practices in occupational safety and health of different professional sectors as well as the latest news relevant to the field of prevention.

For this edition is expected to increase in visitors, which could reach 20,000, due to the celebration of Laboralia with three horizontal fairs: Ecofira (international trade fair for water, soil, air, waste and their technologies and services) Qualimetrics (quality trade fair)(, Calibration, metrology and Instrumentation) and Idinova (fair for research, development and innovation).

In addition, this edition is characterized by a clear commitment by the internationalization, which is embodied in the participation of visitors, exhibitors and institutional representatives from other countries. The pageant will, among others, have the presence of technicians and managers of the Secretariat for safety and health at work (OSHA), representatives of the European network, which includes institutes of health and safety in the work of FranceItaly, Portugal and Spain and companies in various European countries.

On the other hand, the influx of professionals is also guaranteed by the momentum in this edition the holding of dozens of side events organized by sector, business associations and institutions of the first line in the area of prevention. Thus, in the framework of Laboralia take place a day of the Spanish Association of professionals of procurement, recruitment and procurement (AERCE), the II European Congress on safety and health at work, the conferences of the Association Spanish of services of the prevention Laboral (AESPLA)the 5th Congress on safety and health in the work of the Valencian Community and the XLII National Congress of the Spanish Association for leadership and people development (AEDIPE).

Also, the II European Congress on safety and health at work will take place in parallel to Laboralia, 2007. Congress expected to count more than a thousand of participants in this Edition, and its course will study the policies and strategies in the field of occupational safety, both of the major countries of the European Union and of United States.
