Laid the foundation stone for the new plant of hoisting in Vizcaya

Izar - Amorebieta tools, S.A.L., manufacturer specialized in the cutting tool, held on 7 October the laying of the cornerstone of which will be its new plant for the manufacture of Boroa, in the same vizcaíno town of Amorebieta in which sits the current factory. More than 100 workers gathered in the grounds in which build the new factory and visit the future.

Carlos Pujana, managing director of Izar, welcomed all participants. He remarked that this project represents a strategic future bid for the company and for the people that compose, and to from the relocation to new facilities Izar known a revolution in how they work, what will bring a perspective of service far better than the current customer.

The highlight of the visit to the facilities came to bury the metal urn which would be the symbolic initial "stone", and which had introduced various tools and catalogues of the firm, as well as some newspapers of the day and a list with the names of the employees of the company today.

IZAR has almost 100 years in the same place, but thanks in part to its own success (there is no physical space to meet the needs of all customers) and also partly due to the demographic expansion of the municipality in which it is located (has gone from being outside to be almost in half of the same)the need for a new location had become in recent years on the necessity of strategic value. Finally, expected in early summer 2007 completion the work of construction of what will be the most modern Europe cutting tool manufacturing plant, on a plot of 24,000 square metres (with which triples the current surface) located in the neighborhood of Boroa-Amorebietanext to the toll of the highway that connects with the port and airport of Bilbao and Irun. In August of the same year is expected to carry out the transfer to the new facilities of more than 300 machines that make up the workshop for the manufacture of the company.
