Qualities of plates: for the milling of titanium
Sandvik Coromant has two grades of plates to meet the demanding requirements of the milling of titanium in the new products included in CoroPak 10(1). The set of grades S30T and S40T offers high levels of reliability and resistance. Both qualities of insert can be used with a wide variety of Strawberry CoroMill operations planned, milling operations in Squad, milling with long edge and high advancement, as well as axial advance, outlined and slotted.
Insert S30T quality is intended to achieve a productive milling in titanium. It combines the properties of a substrate of hard metal with micrograno with a wear-resistant PVD coating. This composition gives edges of very acute, resistant to wear and the microastillado Court, which makes it possible to spend more time in the Court with higher cutting speeds.
For its part, the premise that drove the development of quality S40T was resolving difficult machining situations arising from the milling of titanium. The combination of ultratenaz hard metal with a thin CVD coating forms a quality capable of withstanding the vibration and other difficult situations of court during long-term in the Court.
