Drive mechatronic systems: they combine the advantages of Rotary and linear systems

XTS drive system (eXtended Transport System) from Beckhoff combines the advantages of two principles of proven drive: Rotary and linear systems. The result is a drive system which replaces the linear motor principle. The engine is fully integrated with the power electronics and the track record. One or several «Movers» wireless can be moved in almost any way configured in a flexible and highly dynamic at a speed of up to 4 m/s. Thus, XTS revolutionizes the technique of drive with its compact structure and allows to design completely new machine concepts.

XTS is a Mechatronics which contains all the necessary functions for operation: - a linear motor modular fully integrated with electronics of power and record of travel in a single device - one or several Movers by way of moving parts.

The number and selection of the components are desired geometries, lengths and radii. You do without a complex wiring and cable chains. They can take absolute and relative positions they can be grouped and stored; they can generate clamping forces while moving; Navigate curves as if they were straight; recover braking energy recovery and take advantage of return trips and one-way transport.

The XTS system can be configured in a simple and modular: engine modules form a unit with the Movers and Rails Guide. They contain electromagnetic coils and all the other active necessary functions for the operation of the system. Only a power supply and an EtherCAT connection is needed. Motor modules do not contain moving parts and do not suffer wear.

The move contains magnetic plates that can produce thrust forces together with the coils of the motor module. This moving device absorbs the forces of attraction of magnets on both sides and compensates them for the most part. In this way, the rollers move, that they are equipped with an especially wear-resistant plastic surface, they can roll in the lane Guide at great speed. A robust mechanical CA flag communicates the position to move to the motor module.

The XTS system is versatile and can be used in the most diverse sectors. You are intended for the transport of materials at high speed:-push the product, adjust the distance of the product, decrease or increase the speed of the product.

An irregular flow of products is separated and handed over to the next season of constant distance and speed processing. The products are collected and transported from a processing station to the next. Journeys between the stations through a high speed if the ride is free. Otherwise, products move to the place of destination in a mobile intermediate warehouse. The products can be processed by groups in parallel in slow processing stations. Fast stations only process a product for the time. Return path can always be used actively.
