Drill bits for drilling deeper and countersunk: for large diameter holes
Sandvik Coromant introduces two concepts for the operations of production and specific deep holes drilling hole of big diameter, CoroDrill 801 and CoroDrill 818.
CoroDrill 801 is designed to contribute to a process of drilling safe in complicated chip materials. Thanks to the robust design and the most innovative technology in plate and seat plate, the bit provides excellent chip control, as well as an optimized performance throughout a long life of the tool. In addition to a series of innovative technical features, improvements of the coolant channels and channel relief of chip design also contribute to get an optimized chip evacuation.
Easy handling is also one of the main benefits of CoroDrill 801. For example, it has an area of rectification for the verification of the eccentricity and incorporates a temporary mark that facilitates the positioning of the drill pipe. CoroDrill 801 also offers a radial 2.5 mm setting that provides greater flexibility across a range of diameters from 66.7 to 165,1 mm.
The process safety, flexibility and the capacity to adjust are three of the main features of the tool of countersink for boring deep holes CoroDrill 818 operations. Also, the seat adapter plate rail t and TXN plate with optimized geometry and quality guarantee a high stability of the process.
Available in diameters of 65 to 222,2 mm with radial adjustment of 2, 5, or 8 mm. In addition, this rigid user-friendly tool offers an excellent chip evacuation and a great capacity for radial adjustment a temporary marking for easy positioning of the drill pipe.
Especially efficient in the drilling of demanding materials such as titanium and superalloys, both CoroDrill 801 and CoroDrill 818 also can be used in steel and stainless steel workpieces. Its most common applications are in the industry of oil and gas, aerospace and the primary metals sector.
