Other exhibition themes are also in preparation.
With these decisions, Deutsche Messe continues to open doors to world markets. Against the background of the considerable improvement in the economic climate, 2007 will be to Deutsche Messe a year of intense trade fair activity both in Germany and abroad, with the key fairs CeBIT, Hannover Messe, and EMO in first line.

In addition, the various key fairs put their specific sectoral accents. Around a thousand information events, congresses, forums and special presentations accompanied by Hannover Messe 2007, which as the most important technological event attracted 230,000 visitors.
Emo Hannover is unique in its kind. This leading manufacture of machine tools fair takes place in September. EMO presents the world of metal processing. Its strengths are machine tools, manufacturing systems, tools of precision, flow of materials, technologies of information, industrial electronics, and accessories.
Trade fair "boom" in foreign countries
Deutsche Messe has set the goal of open also distant customers markets with high growth rates in other continents. Hanover fairs have become export successes and have a very high resonance in Australia, Brazil, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Beijing, Near East and, above all, in Shanghai.

Modern fair
Each square meter of the Hanover fairground (1,000,000 square meters) entails an infrastructure of high technology designed to save the fast technological leaps. The modern pavilions at the level of the ground, almost all fully air-conditioned, facilitate mounting and dismounting of the fairs. Garden areas such as that of "Allee der Bäume" ("walk of the trees"), with sources and biotopes, allow short breaks in the trade fair activity.

Its central station depart every hour ICEs (high-speed trains) in all directions, 'Hannover-langenhagen' airport is linked to European and German cities through 600 weekly flights. Six-lane highways provide quick access to the fair with its 50,000 parking spaces.
30 years of EMO Hannover - the indicator of the future of production
In September of 1977 took place the first EMO Hannover. Already two years earlier had been premiered in Paris as "Machine tool of international fair". Until that time, the Cecimo (Committee Coopération Européen des Industries of the Machine-Outil), i.e., the central European Association of machine tool industry, it had carried out since the beginning of the 1950s twelve exhibitions in different places with the only limitation of accepting only European exhibitors. But the business of machine tools was internationalizing increasingly. On the initiative of the VDW (German machine tool manufacturers association) was completed by also accept manufacturers around the world.
In the first EMO Hannover were 1,619 exhibitors from 29 countries about a net surface of exhibition of 116 700 square meters. Compared with the inaugural edition of Paris, this meant an increase in the number of exhibitors from 18 per cent and even of a 24 per cent in the contracted area. Since its premiere, EMO Hannover has been broader international fair of technologies of processing of metals worldwide products and services. On this solid foundation, the fair is reaffirming continuously for 30 years its position as a major international forum for innovation in the sector.
Until 2003, EMO was held in cycle regularly changing between Hanover, Milan, Paris, Hanover. Then the CECIMO decided a new rhythm. Now switches between Hanover, Hanover, Milan.
Special of EMO has always been that machines and facilities have been ordered by technological sectors to ensure the exhibition clearly and the possibility of technical comparison. In 1977, the fair was divided into nine sectors of products. The central core formed machine tools with and without boot of chips and precision tools. This was added the necessary periphery to close the entire process of industrial manufacturing, for example elements of system and components for the automation of the production, control devices, systems of control of quality, service and many other things.
This principle continues to apply today and assured EMO its significance as a comprehensive showcase showing the entire procedure of the industrial processing of metals.
