Bernard Faure, technical director of sales in France, added: “I Am very satisfied that this mould number 10.000 have manufactured for a pioneering signature in his sector, with headquarters in the region Ródano-Alps, only to half hour of our office in France”.
The mould 10.000 manufactured by Proto Labs in Europe was created for Raphaël Lanez, boss of the team of development of helmets of Petzl, with the end to realizar proofs to measure the effect of chemical products on the materials of manufacture of the protective helmets. The probetas had to manufacture quickly to expose them to complex surroundings and observe the effect of these surroundings on the mechanical properties of the materials used.
Raphaël Lanez explains: “the probeta destined to our evaluations created quickly in CAD and, to continuation, Proto Labs delivered the pieces in a record time. I do not know which technology uses Proto Labs to manufacture the moulds with so much rapidity: his service is, simply, incredible”.
The innovative systems of budgets by Internet of Proto Labs, ProtoQuote (for pieces moldeadas by injection) and FirstQuote (for pieces mechanised CNC) allow to access to a budget and an analysis of factibilidad through the websites of the company. After loading an archive 3D in the web page, the customer receives a clear budget, simple and at all technical, in which they include costs, election of materials and, if necessary, possibilities of changes to improve the factibilidad or the creation of the mould, as well as the cost of the piece.
