Founded in 1977, Fenin Spanish Federation of companies of medical technology, was born with the Mission of the group to the Spanish companies in this sector, coordinate and defend their general interests and hold its representation at the regional, national and European authorities.
Fenin is a cross-sectoral Federation that brings together companies and associations of manufacturers, importers and distributors of technologies and health products whose common characteristic is the be providers of all Spanish health institutions.
Companies and associations of companies comprising Fenin represent more than 80% of the total of sales related to the health technology in the Spanish market, with a turnover of 7.7 billion Euros, that around 72% correspond to the market of the public health system.
The companies that integrate Fenin, employ a 29.000 people between direct and indirect jobs, mainly located in Madrid and Barcelona, with a small percentage in other cities in Spain. Fenin is concerned with research and technological development of the companies that make up the Federation, because their companies provide products and health services that help both to improve the quality of life of patients and to extend it.
