July 6, 2011
The jury of the International Forum Design of Hannover, Germany, has been awarded to Elesa by eccentric cam LAC-R and the wheel of three arms ETK, developed by the Italian company.
From 1977 until 2011, due to "its unique design, as a result of in-depth ergonomic studies", Elesa has received 31 awards from the most prestigious international jury of the industrial design. "It is the recognition of the cutting-edge technology used by our r & d Department to develop elements to provide innovative technical solutions to our customers", says the company.
The eccentric cam LAC-R performs a soft but fast, setting via the moleteada nut, allowing to apply the optimal force on the cam and its positioning in the desired direction. As a result, this cam is appropriate when the angle of rotation is limited. The soft and ergonomic profile of the LAC-R model provides the operator of a comfortable and secure grip. For its part, the wheel of three ETK arms has been designed for Office furniture applications such as mobile files. Three equidistant arms (120 °) offer "a perfect grip and high functionality". Straight lines and the particularly compact and ergonomic shape of this design together with the absence of dangerous cavities, guarantee an "excellent security" during the operation of guidance of the file.
