Read / write head for UHF: ideal solution for applications with limited space for installation
UHF read/write heads offer a longer range than the reading/writing systems for LF and HF since UHF technology communicates to a long distance thanks to "separate" waves and LF/HF systems operate at a short distance. The scope can be varied by changing the design of the antenna and transmitted power. In addition to the antenna F117 for existing UHF, with a range of up to 6 m, pepperl + Fuchs offers a very compact solution, F190 for UHF, specially adapted to applications in the technology of production and intralogistics where LF and HF systems reading distance is not enough.
F190 UHF read/write head is the ideal solution for applications with limited space for the installation. The typical scope of reading of 0.2 m to 1.5 m can cover most distances up to the labels and cover other tolerances. Its adjustable detection range allows the selective reading of the label. The design of the read/write head for UHF is not only compact but also extremely robust thanks to its lower metal section, with built-in electronics and antenna attached through the top. So is confirmed by the industrial connection through M12 connector and with its high IP67 protection. UHF read/write head can be used in applications where it is necessary to read multiple tags simultaneously, for example to identify different products in a container. This greatly reduces the effort of reading. UHF tags are supplied as labels of low cost, offering an economical way to integrate suppliers into the process sequence.
