Quality ceramic chips: for turning and milling of HRSA

Picture of Quality ceramic chips
The specialist for Sandvik Coromant cutting tools and tool systems have extended their range CC6060 of ceramic Sialon grades to give support to the turning and milling of the superallos termorresistentes (HRSA). The additions to the product range includes chips to semifinishing and finishing machining.

Quality of Sialon CC6060 has been optimized to take advantage of productivity in what parts of larger diameters and longer lengths of court refers. Thanks to their excellent resistance to wear and tear on entalla, this quality also provides confidence to the machine with cutting depths greater in comparison with similar ceramic qualities, and is capable of withstanding higher forward speeds.

Sialon is a mixture of silicon nitride and aluminium oxide which offers better chemical stability to reduce wear on entalla in demanding operations. Sandvik Coromant asserts that Sialon provides the ability to operate at speeds of 4 to 6 times higher than the of chips of hard metal conventional.

The recently expanded range of plates of semifinishing and finishing is ideal particularly for machining of materials of roughing as HRSA, primarily in operations with great lengths of court, or profiles or cavities of milling (rolled into or out of the Court).
