Compression springs: in AISI 316 stainless steel
Barnes Group now offers a complete line of 316 stainless steel compression springs. 316 Stainless steel provides resistance to corrosion and high temperatures, which makes it especially suitable for:-medical, surgical, veterinary and pharmaceutical applications.
-Machinery and equipment for preparing food in the food industry - industry marine, aeronautical and aerospace - projects in extreme environmental conditions made in stainless steel: type 316 according to standard ASTM A313 (chemical and physical only).
Stainless steel is not recommended above 300 degrees C. 316 stainless steel is slightly magnetic due to cold working during manufacturing. Stainless steel springs may have a slight nickel residue on the surface of the wire. This is normal and does not affect its operation.
