With a strong impulse thanks to important investments in R&D, the aerospace industry in Spain still is in the phase of expansion.
MARRIES — aeronautical sector component manufacturing sector component manufacturing sector component manufacturing Constructions Anonymous Society—, formed in 1923 and one of the first companies of aeronautical sector component manufacturing sector component manufacturing of Spain, is at present the angular stone of the sector. Devoted to the production of aeroplanes for the military industry and components during and after the II World-wide War, in the years 60 the activity of the company viró to the civil sector, the commercial transport, in which they operated teach like Boeing, McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed.
HOUSE incorporated to Airbus Industrie —created in December of 1970—with 4,2% of the participation. Already in 2000, and after the development of the To300 of Airbus and the back models of aeroplanes, HOUSE turned into one of the partners founders of EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co. NV), together with DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG and Aerospatiale Matra. It fits to remember that EADS is proprietary of Airbus SAS and other entities, like Eurocopter and Astrium.
EADS MARRIES has converted with the years in an important provider of components for the programs of Airbus, Eurocopter, Eurofighter, amongst other —from his installations of Madrid, Toledo, Seville and Cádiz— with special interest in the compound materials.
His success, besides, has promoted the development of other companies manufacturers Tier 1 and Tier 2 like Aernnova Composites (Vitoria), Sener (Madrid), SACESA (Seville) and Tecnalia (San Sebastián).
And is that the manufacture of compound materials distributes by all the territory. Like this, for example, the final setting of the To400M Airbus Military corresponds to Saint Pablo, near of Seville, whereas Toledo is the home of the Airbus Advanced Composites Center.
