KraussMaffei Extrusion organizes a day of doors open at its plant in China
July 25, 2008
China is much more than a huge export giant. By
above all, it is a country that attracts a considerable number of large
companies to invest. The success of KraussMaffei Extrusion Technology (Kmet),
represented by Coscollola commercial,
is a good example. Visitors to the open day of
Kmet in 2008 saw for themselves how the knowledge of Germany on the
machines and systems built in China a magnificent combination.
In KraussMaffei Berstoff, Alois Schmid, Director of
Extrusion Technology Munich, and Andrew Chan, Director General of Kmet, were
satisfied with the positive result
the first day of open doors. April 16, 2008, a day before
the onset of Chinaplas in Shanghai, Kmet welcomed 400 visitors
China, the Middle East, India and Oceania. They did a small
travel to Haiyan to see first hand the products and services of the
company. The visitors made a tour production plants, where
Kmet builds pipes and profiles of extruder and extrusion components.
The market in Asia is one of its priorities. And above all
high performance and maximum benefits. In addition, joins the best value
cost/benefit. Western companies are fighting continuously for
entering the Asian market. An obstacle is the fact that in
quality is concerned, for example in Germany prices are very high,
especially since the cost of production in Germany is much higher than in
Asia. This subsidiary of Kmet has successfully the best drive of the two
worlds: the know-how of Germany, for its high quality, and production capacity
of China. On the ground of Kmet in Haiyan is building machines that meet
the need for Asian markets.
