1. Introduction

In the design of mechanical parts, a large number of industrial softwares integrated modelling of machining by cutting tools. In some cases the cutting tool is considered as a resource for the various functions of the company. For other experts, is to provide the cutting parameters using databases or experimental and numerical methods. For a CAD-CAM software, the definition of the cutting tool is used to compute the file and the collision of the location of the cutter. Then, each expert has a particular point of view of the Court, as well as a dedicated vocabulary.

To improve the operation of manufacturing systems, is to facilitate the collaborative work developing tools for simultaneous engineering [1]. The current study is situated within this framework and proposes a neutral system of database which connects data from several point of view of the machining. This generic [2] model based on the model of the structure of the product of the STEP standard [3] the concept of PHM usa (torque tool - Material [4]) to test its validity as a consensual definition of the Court and the parameters of the cutting tools. The concept of the par material tool aims to define scientific methods allowing to get the parameters of the Court which has to be used in the process. So is need to improve the PHM in two complementary ways.

First the STEP standard only allows to represent static data, does not establish semantic correspondences between data from different experts. Thus we propose modeling the semantics for ontologies and the PSL (Process Specification Language). Secondly, and in order to respect the context of multi-experto Exchange, we conducted scientific experiments showing which are really significant technical parameters of the cutting process. These trials show in that direction will have to improve the methodology of the PHM defined in the French standard [4]. These proposals also can integrate new technologies of manufacturing such as the turning hard, and high speed cutting.

2 Conclusions

The work presented here is intended to help an optimal choice of the cutting parameters, taking into account the court process as quickly as possible in the process of conception. In the past, used expert systems which used to be very complicated, and very unhelpful. So we have proposed to take into account information that really have a scientific sense, the concept of PHM, and leave open the possibility the possibility expert of court decisions. This study base allows to display that information will have to share now and in the future. But the central problem is the exchange of him semantic data via the Web is one of the difficulties that will be studied future matter.
