The new system of transmission of optical signals between two probes of Renishaw uses an only optical receptor for the reglaje of the probe and probes of contact mounted on husillo, what allows a fast integration in some surroundings of machine without cables. The system integrates easily in an extensive range of machining centres and fresadores CNC, and allows to the users a reglaje of automatic tools in the machine, detection of break of tools, reglaje of pieces and capacity of verification of the same.

A normal system of double probe composes of the new system of reglaje of tools OTS and the probe of inspection OMP40-2 of Renishaw, although it is possible to employ other probes of contact mounted on husillo compatible with system of optical transmission modulated. The design of the system of reglaje of tools without cables employs mainly in machines of double platform and tables giratorias, that traditionally have supposed a challenge for the systems of reglaje of tools with cables.

The system of double probe uses the optical receptor OMI-2T of Renishaw, that incorporates the new system of optical transmission modulated of Renishaw, designed to reach the highest levels of resistance to the interference of the light. The OMI-2T employs also to activate the probe of contact mounted on husillo or the probe of reglaje of tools, showing a visual indication of the device activated.

The probe of reglaje of tools OTS of Renishaw with optical transmission is a robust product, compact and without cables, without limitations of movement on the table that, besides, allows the detection of tools broken and the fast measurement of the length and the diameter of the tool.

OMP40-2 of Renishaw is an update of the awarded probe of original contact OMP40. It satisfies the demand to use probes in machining centres small and in the increasing family of machines of high speed instrumented with husillos for small cones and HSK. The parameters of use are programmable by the user doing that it result simple to optimise the OMP40 for determinate applications of machine, whereas the exclusive system of programming Trigger-LogicT of Renishaw allows to the users program the options without need to open the interface. It deletes like this, the risk to damage the internal components of the probe because of the entrance of the taladrina or of some shaving.

Sealed in a resistant hermetical compartment to the surroundings of mechanised more hostile and with a big capacity of detection of false shots caused by hits or vibrations, the probe OMP40-2 is totally compatible with the current optical systems of Renishaw and can use to high speed in routines of one or two touch.
