High frequency spindles: most of the models are lubricated by air/oil

Picture of High frequency spindles
The high frequency spindles have an asynchronous motor whose rotor is reeling over the axis of the spindle and whose stator is located on the inside of the housing.

The power supply is carried out by means of a frequency converter.

Bearings, ultra-precision, are ceramic balls.

To control the temperature of the front bearings and stator have a circulation coolant system.

Most of the models are lubricated by oil. A few, however, are lubricated with grease for lifetime.

Maximum speed differs greatly from a few models to others. With manual tool change. With manual tool change.or spindles must mention two constructive ways: with manual tool change.

With automatic tool change.

In the latter case, shaft is drilled along its entire length to allow the passage of air or coolant through a rotating joint.
