Oldham CEX300

Detector of explosive gases: based in the catalytic oxidation

Picture of Detector of explosive gases
The detectors CEX300 manufactured by Oldham and distributed by Castella Spain are conceived to cover the needs of hygiene posed by the users of these systems of detection, applying the knowledges purchased during a lot of years devoted to the manufacture of gas detectors, and with a really adjusted cost, so that it guarantee the hygiene without need to realise a big economic investment.

The principle of detection of the sensor that incorporates the model CEX300 is based in the catalytic oxidation by means of the utilisation of pellistores forming a bridge of wheatstone, lodged in an envolvente antideflagrante. The filaments detectors when seeing exposed to gas produce a descompensación in the bridge of wheatstone what translates in a variation of the proportional voltage to the concentration of gas, which transmits in shape of signal to the unit of control that manages to the detector. The utilisation of a filament compensator warns the effects produced by the variations of humidity and temperature.

The detector CEX300 fulfils with the requirements of the Directive 94/9/CE (Atex)

for his location in classified zone and are built using material of

high quality that confer a big robustness to the detector and a high index of

protection of the envolvente IP 66.

It applies in continuous protection of workers and installations, laboratories of investigation, rooms of boilers, industrial hygiene and chemical laboratories and

chemists.
