Explanation of the Cetm with regard to the new definition of the tolls to apply to the vehicles of transport

In relation to the Royal decree approved the past Friday by the Council of Ministers, by which establish the criteria for the determination of the tolls to apply to determinate vehicles of transport of commodities, the Spanish Confederation of Transport of Commodities (Cetm), wants to clear that said norm does not suppose the introduction of any type of tax neither new toll by the utilisation of the Network of Roads of the State.

This Royal decree has like only aim the transposition (compulsory) of a community Directive, by which define and update the criteria of calculation, the discounts to apply and the conditions of payment of said tolls.

In any case, the Cetm wants to ratify publicly his firm posture against of the application of any tarificación by the use of infrastructures, as it would comport immediate hurtful effects so much for the sector of the transport in particular as for the competitiveness of all the Spanish economy in particular, when putting up the price of the price of all the products unnecessarily, lastrando the consumption, key factor to go out of the crisis, and hamper the exports like consequence that the immense majority of the same realizar by road and in a truck.
