Hankook Winter I*cep RS

Tyres: for passenger cars

Picture of Tyres
This tyre has been especially designed for vehicles ranging from small utilities for the city, trucks compact or middle size to rancheras and family vans, and it has been optimized in the mild climate of Central and Western Europe. It stands out due to its characteristics of a stable and especially safe handling on wet, snowy, half melted and also dry roads.

The directional design of the tread pattern of five nerves in the form of V of the Winter i * cept RS of Hankook presents a Groove width 14% higher. Thanks to the provision in (side) additional angles of slots, from 0 ° in the central part of tread up to 15 ° in the area of the shoulder of the tire, has been better traction on any surface. A band of wider tread in comparison with the previous model allows to increase the contact surface, significantly improving tire performance especially on icy roads. In addition, the grip on snow-covered and half-melted surfaces has improved dramatically by the staggered arrangement of the blocks along the middle of the tread. And last, but not least, wavy 3D grooves increase traction and braking on all surfaces smooth performance.

Design of the totally great grip silica compound ensures that tread remain soft even at very low temperatures, providing excellent traction and power brake. Four main grooves quickly drain the water from the bottom of the tread and interact with tread v flow improved, effectively preventing aquaplaning on wet winter roads.

Other benefits include greater durability of tread, as well as a rolling resistance significantly lower (- 8% compared with the conventional tread bands). This allows a greater fuel savings and less environmental impact. Going beyond the blocks design, thanks to the revision of the angles in the ribs has been a significant reduction in the noise of the tyre. In this way, the Winter i * cept RS of Hankook helps to improve the driving experience inside the vehicle while emitting less noise to the environment.
