Tata Steel Chooses to CA Technologies to accelerate the innovation in new solutions of steel

Tata Steel has chosen to CA Technologies to help to accelerate the innovation in new solutions of steel and promote the growth of his business. The company, that supplies steel and services related to the demanding world-wide markets, will use CA Clarity Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) to manage the cycle of complete life of new products and services, from the innovation and the design of the product until the production and the delivery.

“The solution PPM will help us to be more efficient in the innovation and accelerate the commercialisation of our products, win quota of market and answer better to the needs of the customers”, explains Rene Kieft, director of Development of Product and Strategy of copyright, strategic Marketing, Tata Steel. “The efficiency does not consist in reducing costs, but in using what have of the best possible way, taking advantage of to the maximum the resources. CA Clarity PPM will allow us continue innovando and adapt us to the demand of the customers”.

Tata Steel Has carried out a transformation of his operations in Europe to turn into a more centred organisation in the customer, realineando his internal resources to sectors of the industry such as car, elevadores and excavations, power, construction and railway industry. This new organisational structure allows to Tata Steel support better to the customers when having a better understanding of his needs and of the opportunities that arise in the market.

All the possible innovations will be analysed, from forms to expand and improve the quality of the products of steel of the company until facilitating the to scale industrial proofs of new products, as in the case of solutions for trucks, pieces for elevators and for diverse applications of construction.
