The invited speakers were supplemented by more than 90 presentations of engineers who represented more than 80 organizations of manufacturing and research, including Airbus, Abbott vascular, Cordis Corporation, Fiat Research Center, Ford Motor Company, Halliburton, Hyundai, Idiada, Medtronic, Rolls-Royce, Xerox, and many others. The session covered a wide range of sectors, from aerospace to automotive, civil engineering, defence, energy, technology and science of health, among others.

The rapporteur Jayaraman Sivakumar, director of the General Motors Powertrain engineering group, described how effective use of the State of the art of simulation in the level of system, subsystem and components, allows GM to provide transmission systems that save fuel and improve the performance of cars and trucks.

Anita Bestelmeyer, Director falls for BD, explained how his team is using the technologies of virtual simulation of Simulia for supply to the market products optimal, robust and high-quality, faster and at lower cost.
Benoît Guillaume, an expert in numerical optimization for PSA Peugeot Citroën, stressed the deployment of its automotive and platform optimization, based on the Isight and Execution Engine of Simulia software. The platform aims to improve operational efficiency and capitalize on best practices.
