dassault systèmes, specialist in the management of the life cycle of products and 3D solutions, announced that Procter & Gamble has expanded the scope of its V6 PLM implementation to incorporate global initiatives of packaging and graphics. This adds to the strategic selection of solutions of DS that P & G made in 2008 for a PLM process covering the entire company.

Together, Dassault and P & G are developing a fully integrated suite of products to help make the process of packaging more efficient, accelerate the arrival on the market, increase the impact in points of sale and, finally, to create a better experience for consumers.

P & G will incorporate the capabilities of virtual and digital design of Catia V6 and the capabilities of virtual testing of Simula V6 in their future projects of packaging and graphics. This approach will allow a tighter integration with suppliers, providing a faster creation of graphical figures and packaging to meet the needs of consumers at the same time covering a variety of requirements of production and suitability for the placement of products on the shelves of the shops simultaneously. In addition, Enovia V6 will allow global collaboration, reuse of design elements, the automation of repetitive tasks and the use of the corporate standards, optimizing the cost and performance of products at the same time.
