The latest solutions for the pre-production of packaging of Esko

Esko presented a wide range of products to the entire chain of supplies at the Graphispag fair.

Guy Van Puyvelde, new Senior Vice President of sales and marketing, Tom Leyden, director of marketing, and Jordi Quera, director of Esko Spain, were in charge of presenting corporate successes of Esko and demonstrations live from the suite of software for packaging Scopeincluding ArtiosCAD and the table Kongsberg i-XL24.

During his Parliament, Van Puyvelde referred to the achievements of Esko to date as well as projections on the future growth of the company. Esko experienced an annual growth of earnings from 12 per cent, also an increase in sales of packaging systems. The region that experienced higher growth is the EMEALA, specifically from 16 per cent. Asia Pacific is also an area of tremendous growth for Esko, along with the good figures for sales in North America and Japan.

Presentation of the Kongsberg table

Guy Van Puyvelde also made mention of Esko partners in the printing industry, with whom Esko aims to be the "glue". For example, Esko and DuPont collaborate on technology of production of thermal plates and proof of this were the live demonstrations of the DuPont Cyrel Fast and Esko CDI Spark 4260 equipment at the booth of Esko. On the other hand, Esko and HP have come together to provide a combined solution that includes Esko Scope software suite and the tags HP Indigo digital printing machines. Esko and Agfa have signed a global resale agreement that Agfa may sell the software from Esko DeskPack and plate pre-press to packaging market. The inclusion of the popular range of plug-ins Esko DeskPack for Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop and the mounting by repetition/nesting dish system allows Agfa to offer a solution of more complete workflow, ranging from the creation of files to the production. Other remarkable Esko collaborations are with the technology of MGE in the United States.UU., with Xerox at European level and Heidelberg in Asia.

Tom Leyden was presented with a practical example the ArtiosCAD version 7, the component of Esko for structural design, which offers functions of import/export of SolidWorks 3D CAD files. The integration of 3D CAD allows to quickly create prototypes from designs and presentations, eliminating communication errors and shortening the design review cycles.

Finally, Jordi Quera presented the demonstration live table Kongsberg i-XL24. The number of tables of court and cleft without Esko Kongsberg XL and XE die for container and packaging applications. The Kongsberg i-XL, a series of tables of finish based on the series XL, integrates the system i-cut vision of Mikkelsen Graphic Engineering (MGE).

Esko stand

During the fair Esko signed a record number of contracts for the sale of its Kongsberg tables. CDI Spark units, Esko DCM and Esko software suite packaging also aroused great interest. On average, generated more than 50 prospects qualified daily during the fair.
