Promising contacts in the International Fair of Horticulture

In the International Fair of Horticulture "International Hortifair" in Amsterdam, headed to an international skilled public, the company Floragard Vertriebs GmbH für Gartenbau achieved to establish promising contacts. They were especially visitors of the Extreme Orient and of the neighbouring countries of east Europe those that showed big interest in the substrata of Floragard.

Were especially visitors of the Extreme Orient and of the neighbouring countries of east Europe those that showed big interest in the substrata that Floragard sells for the crop of ornamental plants and vegetables. Likewise it had big resonance in distant countries the wide assortment of substrata for gardening and fertilisers for the gardener interested that for the first time they presented in international packagings in until 15 different languages.
With an annual quantity closely of 3 million m³ in the conjoint section of sales of substrata for fans and substrata for professionals the business group Floragard is leader of the European market.
The volume of production of the 20 producing plants full annually more than 40.000 loads of truck, rail wagon and marine container. The producing plants in the north of Germany have of roughly 10.000 has. Of surface to store peat. These places of production complement with two factories of peat in Latvia.
For the future expansion founded in the years 2002/03 two producing plants additional in Austria and in the south of Germany. It will create another plant of substrata in the 2004 in the point between Germany, France and Switzerland.
After the 112 million euros of the previous year, the group of companies expects for the 2003 a volume of sales consolidated of 121 million euros. To reinforce the activities of export has increased to 110 the number of employees in the society distributor established in Oldenburg; including the producing plants employ - with seasonal fluctuations - 700 workers.
At present Floragard has formed an alliance with the International Garden Center Association (IGCA) that represents to scale world-wide some 2000 Gardencenter main. This agreement signed the 24.11.2003 in Oldenburg. It foresees that Floragard like "partner-leader" realizar with the IGCA an intensive exchange of experiences like base for future conjoint strategies of marketing.
