Conclusions of the Assembly of FEPEX

The Assembly of FEPEX has gathered this week with the end to approve his Plan of Action for the year 2001, that has like aim prioritario the defence of the profitability of the productions of the associated. In this Assembly, has reelected like president to Andrés Cuartero and like vice-presidents second and third to Juan Colomina, by the Association of Almería COEXPHAL, and Fernando Gómez, by the Association of Murcia APOEXPA, respectively. Like first vice-president has been chosen José Hernández, president of the Association of Murcia, PROEXPORT. On the other hand,, this Assembly has served like frame to analyse the evolution of the exports hortofrutícolas until September of 2000, that has registered an increase of 3,3% in value and 2% in volume, in relation with the same period of 1999. The main products exported have been tomatoes, peppers, lettuces and cabbages. The sector represented in FEPEX considers that the period of positive evolution that experienced the exports of fruit and vegetables from 1993 has concluded, and in the actuality suffers a stabilisation of the sendings.
