I coato picks up the 'prize food of Spain to the ecological production' which grants each year the MARM

On 4 November, the Minister of environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Rosa Aguilar, handed over to I Coato - within the framework of the XXII Awards 'Spain food' 2009 that recognized the work carried out by professionals and entities involved in the agrifood chainorganic farming and conservation of the environment-the 'prize food of Spain to the ecological production'. "This award is the recognition of a long history, which has been added for 30 years, and who has chosen to promote the cultivation and marketing of organic food both at the regional level as" "national", assured the matter José Luis Hernández Costa, President of the murcian cooperative.
In this sense, the MARM highlighted the experience and contribution of the company awarded the consolidation of the organic farming, being the European company with largest area dedicated to this type of production. In addition, was shown the consideration it deserves the marketer effort, the introduction of environmentally friendly techniques with the environment, diversification of products, the demanding quality protocols and the increase of surface dedicated to this type of farming carried outyear after year, this murcian cooperative society.
