First meeting of the Executive Committee of the delegation in Catalonia '5 a day'

Earlier this year the Association '5 a day' set up the delegation of Catalonia, within its territorial expansion plan. The newly formed Board of Directors of the Catalan delegation met with reason to set up the Board of Directors and mark the lines of work for the same. This first meeting was held in the Auditorium of the Department of agriculture, Alimentació i Acció Rural, in which Joan Gené, director general of food, quality and agro-food industry, welcomed the members of '5 a day' and stressed the importance of launching this initiative in Catalonia.
Attendees, for his part, highlighted the significance of the meeting, it has managed to bring together representatives of the departments of health, agriculture and education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, part of the public administration and spokesmen for major food companies, by the private sector. After the meeting, agreed to the commitment to support the project of '5 a day', championing the message in Catalonia and trying to involve all the agri-food sector to ensure that, in this way, the Catalan population to receive the '5 a day' recommendation as a single message.
