Freshuelva And Fepex will organise beside Ifema a pioneering symposium on the berries in Fruit Attraction

The sixth edition of Fruit Attraction, International Fair of the Sector of Fruit and Vegetables, that will celebrate in Madrid of the 15 to 17 October, will receive the symposium devoted to the berries 'Fresh & Life', organised by Freshuelva and Fepex together with Ifema, whose aim is to spread novelties in the fields of the nutrition, the investigation, the production and the markets. It treats of a pioneering symposium, whose Committee of Honour is chaired by SAR the Prince of Asturias, and will have a stood out signpost of experts and researchers of United States and of Europe, that will give to know the last advances in the sector.

In investigation, on the one hand, explore the treatments based in the vegetal compounds presents in the berries and that cover some of the areas of greater impact in the public health like the illnesses neurodegenerativas, cardiovascular or the diabetes. On the other hand, in the development of new varieties of berries, offer new possibilities to the consumers: new opportunities of consumption, improvements in the qualities gustativas and potenciación of the positive effects on the health. For the specialists of the sector, in the symposium 'Fresh and Life' will explore the possibilities of future development of the category of berries, studying the cases of north success of Europe, as well as the social and economic reality of the producing sector of berries, that is, nowadays, an important pillar for the province of Huelva, like creator of employment and anchorage of the local population.

The symposium, that will celebrate the 14 and 15 October, is organised by the Association of Producers and Exporters of Strawberry of Huelva, Freshuelva, integrated association in Fepex, that represents 95% of the producers of red fruit to national level, Fepex and Ifema.
