How has completed the financial year 2009, in economic terms and what prospects have for 2010?
According to our data, the sector took a fall in 2009 10% approximately, although we have begun to notice a slow recovery in the first quarter of 2010, registering the first positive data. With respect to the medium of payment term, the market suffered an increase of 13% in 2009 with respect to the previous year, having also noticed a slight recovery (3%) in the first quarter of 2010.
What are the main challenges of the business hardware and industrial supplies?
The main challenge of the companies represented by Afeb is to grow, as you would any business. We know that a difficult task given will be the current economic situation, but it will not be impossible if we consider data from the first quarter of 2010, clearly positive, and supported with what is happening in the countries around us, where we see that the recovery is more sustained.
Surely we will have to be more attentive and diligent about conduct our business and take into account the demands of the consumer that, according to the figures given in the last Congress of Fediyma, is more cautious when it comes to shop but also more environmentally friendlygiving more importance to lasting and sustainable products.
What does represent the interests of the hardware sector and industrial supplies the celebration of Ferremad 2010?
Ferremad 2010 is an opportunity to present our products and make networking in a unique setting such as the Feria de Madrid. In addition, Afeb we believe that the Spanish trade fair landscape is overly broad.
What activities or workshops is planned organized within the framework of the fair?
The Association raises a Conference within the programme of activities of Ferremad, which analyze the changing consumer habits after the economic crisis.
Why should exhibit companies / visit to the professionals, in Ferremad 2010? How do you view the coincidence of the event with the main Spanish industrial exhibition Matelec 2010?
Companies are exposed in Ferremad to present our products at a fair which may have an exceptional access most of our clients. Without a doubt, the Afeb Association appreciates very coincides with Matelec, which will lead to synergies between both fairs.
