Epson Attains 591 million euros of profit in the exercise 2013

Epson reached a profit of 591 million euros (83.698 million yens) in the fiscal exercise 2013 (closing to 31 March 2014). The company has redefined of strategic form his offer of products, adopting new models of business in segments already existent and putting a special focus in the creation of specific solutions for sectors very clear-cut.

Epson Attained an increase of the sales of 17,9%, surpassing the figure of 1.003 trillion yens (7.092 million euros, roughly) for the first time from the fiscal year 2008.

The results presented reflect the capacity of adaptation of Epson to the tendencies cambiantes of a market in which it prevails the efficiency. Epson Has bet in the last years by the injection of ink like ideal solution for services of impressesion, as it is able to reduce until 50% the cost by page and until 80% the energetic consumption. On the other hand, the company has developed recently equipment of impressesion that allow to reach the 75.000 pages impresas with an only consumables. These models incorporate stock exchanges of ink of big capacity and no only allow to increase considerably the efficiency of the companies that integrate them in his equipment, but they also reduce drastically the waste, helping to diminish the footprint of carbon and therefore improving the environingingment. By units of business, the segment of equipment for technologies of the information, that engloba the systems of impressesion and proyectores, registered an increase of the sales of 22% in relation to the previous exercise, reaching the 5.914 million euros (836,4 trillion yens), near of 80% of the total turnover. The improvement of the offer of models, with products of greater value added, contributed to the increase of the profitability of the printers. The sales of consumables keep in a positive tendency. The company also registered a remarkable increase of the sales of proyectores, especially in China and America, what saw reflected in the income of exploitation.

The division of products of precision increased his turnover regarding 2012 in 5,8% being the products for the market of clocks the most stood out with a growth of 19,5% in relation to the previous economic exercise.

The sales in industrial solutions increased in 41,8% regarding the previous exercise, in spite of that his weight in the total turnover of the company is still small (a 1'6%).
