Murcia modernizes the nurseries to make them more efficient, productive and sustainable

The director-general of Natural Heritage and biodiversity, Pablo Fernández, stressed that four forestry nurseries that manages the counseling "produce half a million plants of 90 species per year, destined mainly to afforestation, the restoration of ecosystems degraded or impoverished and diversification of the Riverside vegetation". The autonomic Manager cited as one of the most important achievements of these nurseries "achieving more than 600 copies of Teocrium balfourii, a species listed in danger of extinction".
Each of the nurseries is intended for the production of certain groups of related species by climate or requirements. Thus, the nursery of the drinker, located in Moratalla, produces plants of climates meso and supramediterráneos, as well as riparian habitat species (which typically grow in wet areas, banks of rivers and streams). The Cajal, in passing, it goes to the production of termomediterráneo scrub, aromatic and flora protected. In addition, the nursery of the paintings, located in Murcia, is primarily dedicated to production of pine of Christmas and cypress, for sale to individuals solely ornamental purposes. For its part, the nursery of the Valley produces almost all species used in the region, except the climates meso and supramediterráneo and some species of shore. It also produces Christmas trees and cypresses.
