The Marm organizes a course on pruning of ornamental woodland in rural green areas

In early March, the Ministry of environment and medium Rural and Marine Affairs (Marm) organized a workshop on pruning of ornamental trees in green areas of countryside. These sessions program provided training to perform correct pruning, applying knowledge and results of research conducted over the past decades. The seminar, which was held in the National Centre for training of San Fernando de Henares (Madrid), included theoretical sessions, outputs of field and practical demonstrations for a week. Throughout the course addressed various issues such as species more common woodland, the different types of branching, practices in the field, the reading of the trees, pruning and the development of the tree, the tree response to wound, criteria and times of pruning, techniques of pruning, management of the work of pruning: resources and human resources and organization of work of pruning.
This theoretical and practical course was aimed at technical and responsible public administrations or companies in the sector, responsible for the decision-making, organization and direction of the work of pruning.
