The Purple Garlic of The Pedroñeras promociona in Castile-La Mancha

The association I.G.P. Crumple Dwelt of The Pedroñeras (Cuenca), that represents to 15 companies cultivadoras, producing, trading companies and transformative of garlic, mainly of Cuenca, promociona in the supermarkets of the Group The Despensa, in Toledo, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Albacete. Specifically, they have carried out the promotions of Toledo and Ciudad Real during the month of May, triplicando the sales of this product. In the next days, will undertake also actions of promotion in Albacete and Cuenca. These provinces will not be the only points of clear-cut strategic promotion by the Association, since they will complement with other promotions in Madrid, also of the hand of the Spanish group-manchego of feeding, The Despensa.

From the I.G.P. Crumple Dwelt of The Pedroñeras, values positively these performances, framed in the aims of promotion and divulging of the association, that also translate in some positive data regarding his crop.

Like this, in the present campaign 2011-12 of production and commercialisation, the pertaining companies and authorised by the entity, after process of certification and audits, for the use of the marchamo of the I.G.P. in the commercialisation of the garlic, have inscribed a total of 3.200 hectares, all they situated in the zone of production allowed, that comprises 227 municipal terms of the provinces of Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Toledo. The surface inscribed represents 13% more than the declared in the past campaign, and comes to confirm the growth of the productive potential of the I.G.P. Crumple Dwelt of The Pedroñeras, enciphered in the actuality in 24.000 tonnes.
