Enterprises of the aeronautical sector point to Canada as a new growth target

A total of fifteen firms and Andalusian companies analysed, on 13 July, at a technical conference held in Aerópolis main business opportunities offered by the Canadian market, the fourth globally in the aerospace industry, pointing out the Canadian aerospace sector as a new target for growth for the Andalusian industry. The meeting, organized by the Ministry of economy, innovation and science, through Andalusian Extenda-Agency of international promotion, with the collaboration of the Instituto Spanish of foreign trade (ICEX), the Helix Foundation and Aerópolis, has been focused towards the analysis of the business opportunities that Canada, fourth aviation market worldwide behind France, USA and United Kingdomprovides for the Andalusian aeronautical sector. Possibilities to increase dramatically once the Andalusian aeronautical companies already accounted for a major turnover to USA, exceeding the EUR 125 million in 2010. During the meeting highlighted the exciting possibilities that Canada can offer to Andalusian companies for its international expansion and diversification of customers through Bombardier, main company tractor of the American country, which has production plants, in Belfast (United Kingdom) and Querétaro (Mexico), in addition to Montreal and Toronto (Canada) and Wichita (USA). In particular this company is evaluating expanding in new countries through partnerships and agreements with suppliers and the establishment of new plants for the workload of their current production centres.
