The IGP Crumple Dwelt of The Pedroñeras declares a total of 3.600 hectares of production in the campaign 2013-2014

The Geographic Indication Protected (IGP) Purple Garlic of The Pedroñeras, once finalised the term of statement of surface of seed, has communicated that in the present campaign of crop 2013-2014, the companies and agriculturalists ascribed to this figure of alimentary quality have declared a total of 3.600 hectares of production, figure that represents a half increase of 7% regarding the past campaign.

At present are 582 exploitations and 1.185 plots those that constitute the base and productive potential of the Purple Garlic of The Pedroñeras, what supposes a half surface by cultured plot of 3,03 hectares and a half surface by destined exploitation to the crop of purple garlic of 6,18 hectares.

However matiza that “it would be a more realistic aim speak of a quantity surroundings to the 10.000 tonnes”, figure that, to attain , would represent to arrive to 35% of the productive potential of the IGP.
