The apple will go back to earn leadership in Bolzano

Of the 20 to 22 November, Bolzano, in the High Adigio Italian, will receive by ninth time Interpoma, the international fair devoted to the crop, the conservation and the commercialisation of the apple. In Fruit Logistica presented the details of this new edition, that aspires to equalise the numbers of 2012, and whose core will be again the international congress The apple in the world, fundamental announcement for the sector coordinated by the expert in fruticultura Kurt Werth, that will have the participation of professionals and observers from all Europe, the United States and New Zealand.

Interpoma, framed in a region frutícola where produces 15% of the European total of apple, event that has constituted on the dot of reference for the sector, as it confirms it the increasing success of the three last editions. Of 2008 to 2012 it has verified a remarkable increase of visitors –that happened of 11.653 to 16.017 (+37,5%)– and of display units (+33%).

“For this edition expect even more visits —explained Reinhold Marsoner, director of the Fair of Bolzano— since Interpoma has won a place of honour in the world-wide panorama of the fairs hortofrutícolas. As always, the congress 'The apple in the world' will be the key moment of the demonstration, because it contributes of important way to his success and his professionalism. But they will not be missing novelties and surprises to offer new reasons of interest to the concurrent”.

The inaugural session will take place the Thursday 20 November, focused in the new flows of market and in the organisation of the offer in the world-wide trade of the apple. The Friday 21 will treat the subject of the fruticultura sustainable, with exploration of the most recent ideas for possible improvements and evolutions. Representatives of universities and centres of Italian investigation, Germans and Americans will face this question in his more miscellaneous appearances. The last day of the congress will centre in the novelties of the science and the investigation, and in how has to adapt the fruticultura to the climatic change. It will speak of genetic mutations, of new treatments fungicidas without chemical products, of networks of protection against the hail and even of solar burns.

“Will be three days of study and analysis of the most current appearances of the crop of apples –explained the coordinator of the meeting, Kurt Werth–. The speakers, characters of international importance, will be able to give to the participants information and councils to optimise all the phases of the production. We are convinced that, also this year, 'The apple in the world' will do of Interpoma an appointment irrenunciable for those who devote to this work”.
