The Marm and the professional of the olive oil spread, once again, this oil in Europe

On 1 February, the Director-general of industry and food markets of the Marm, Isabel Bombal, took part in the presentation of the 'campaign of promotion of the olive oil in Europe', organised by the professional of the olive oil. The purpose of this initiative is to increase and to position the consumption of this oil among the citizens of the European Union. In particular, the campaign provides information on the product and teaches how to diversify the uses of the same. During his speech, Bombal emphasized that this initiative, co-funded by the European Union, and Spain has a budget of EUR 16.5 million, the largest of those adopted in recent years.
According to the spokesman of the Marm, this campaign of dissemination, to be held in Spain, United Kingdom, France, Belgium and Holland for three years, it is part of the set of initiatives that this Agency has developed over the last few years to support and promote the consumption of olive oil. In this sense, Bombal pointed out that the recognition by this Ministry, the professional organization of the olive oil has been key for the development of advocacy, improvement of information and knowledge about this oil markets and production. Also, Bombal made reference to other information and promotion actions aimed at the promotion of oil olive among consumers. For example, the awards 'Best Spanish Extra Virgin olive oils', whose purpose is the of revalue the highest organoleptic quality olive oils; the cooperation agreements between the Marm and various agricultural entities, as well as the involvement of the Department in trade fairs and events, such as 'Madrid fusion', 'San Sebastián GastronómiKa', 'Expoliva' and 'Food'.
