Bittor Oroz, new president of Azti-Tecnalia

The patronato of the Foundation has 14 masters, five in representation of the Basque Government and nueve of companies and private institutions, like Eroski, Iparlat, Hidronor, FCC Ambito, Coffees Fortress, Cárnicas Mirtoz, Preserves Garavilla, Salica, Anabac and the Federation of Confreries of Biscay.
After his nomination, Bittor Oroz has resaltado “the adecuación of AZTI-Tecnalia to the new aims of the Department of Economic Development and Competitiveness, when being an organisation that has bet by the intelligent specialisation, the internationalisation like element of contrast of his competitiveness and by a model of gestión advanced that it has placed him in the spearhead like a case of success in the technology transfer to the companies and by the social and economic impact that generates with his activity”. These will be the axles prioritarios for the next years of Azti-Tecnalia, ranged with the priorities of the Department of Economic Development, where the innovation will be one of the crowbars in which it will base the Basque Government to support to the companies to be more competitive in some global surroundings.
