abs FAIRS From 5 to 9 February, Feria Valencia will host the next Cevisama fair, an event that is growing significantly in commercial offer, but also in quality, in terms both of the exhibition of products and of the programme of parallel activities. According to the organization’s data, everything indicates a record-breaking attendance. Cersaie 2017 achieved an attendance of 111,604 visitors, which represents an increase of 4.7% compared to the 2016 event. The International Exhibition of Ceramics and Bathroom Equipment, whichwas held in Bologna from25 to 29 September, has established itself as a benchmark trade event for the sector’s world market and was attended by a representative group of Spanish companies. The 2017 Mondial du Bâtiment was intended to be the meeting point for the construction sector andmobilize all the players in the industry. The objectivewas achieved and confirms amajor mobilization of the target professionals of the Interclima, ELECHB, Idéobain and Batimat fairs. Over the course of the event, the 2,400 exhibitors present in Paris (57% of them international) received 319,215 visitors, 20%of whomcame from outside France. From 24 to 27 October, a total of 4,841 professionals were able to visit the exhibition space of the seventh InteriHOTEL event, where 173 brands displayed the latest trends in hotel interior design. A comprehensive series of conferences with 44 speakers and an international mission, with 10 top-level buyers, completed the programme of this event which generated 1,170 business opportunities, in the form of hotel projects, among the attendees and which was attended by leading companies in the sanitation sector. At the close of this year’s event, preparations for the 41st MCE - Mostra Convegno Expocomfort, the world’s leading biennial event for civil and industrial installations, HVAC and renewable energies, which will be held at the Milan Trade Fair Centre from 13 to 16 March 2018, were reaching completion. CONGRESSES Two hundred and fifty people attended the 28th CONAIF Congress, held at the rectory of the University of Córdoba (former Veterinary Faculty) on 19 and 20 October. An event for installers in which gas, refrigeration and HVAC, digitalization, social networks, motivation and late payment were discussed, among other topics. It also dealt with fire protection, the new obligations of which, in CONAIF’s opinion, are detrimental to micro-enterprises and the self-employed.
