Organic growth was 8.8% and, if we consider the first nine months of the year, turnover was 4,459 billion Euro, an increase of 32.4% and organic growth of 9.6%. All these developments are in line with the forecasts made by the group’s management. TRADE FAIRS NEW DISTRIBUTION FOR THE INTERGIFT FAIR The pavilions will have a new distribution at the next Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya show, which will be held from 31 January to 4 February. Under the organization of IFEMA, the holding of the three fairs together will make Madrid the epicentre of decoration, gifts, costume jewellery, fashion accessories and jewel lery. On this occasion, pavilions 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Feria de Madrid will host this big international event, during which the nearly 42,000 professionals attending will learn about the latest collections from each of these sectors, presented by the more than 1,500 participating companies and brands. HOST MILANO GROWS 243% IN TERMS OF VISITORS After five days of intense networking, the Milanese fair HOST closed the doors of its 40th event on 24 October with data that speak for themselves: 187,602 professional visitors, up 24.3% compared to the 2015 fair, 38.8% of them (72,699) being foreigners -a figure that has undergone an increase of 20.4%- from 177 countries. European states, China, the United States, Russia and the Middle East have been the fastest growing areas. NEWS APRECU COMMEMORATES ITS 40TH ANNIVERSARY The Albacete Asociación de Cuchillería y Afines, APRECU, has just celebrated four decades of history. An occasion it has taken advantage of to thank the former presidents of the entity for their commitment and to pay tribute to the sector as a whole. Mª Pilar Jiménez attended the event for the first time as president of APRECU; her speech (which has been included in a report prepared to celebrate the four decades of its history) was full of praise for the history of the association, as well as gratitude to the members for their involvement. H&M INCLUDES A HOUSEHOLD LINE IN ITS MADRID STORE On 20 October, H&M opened a new store in Madrid, specifically in the new Plaza Río 2 shopping centre. The premises have a surface area of 2,700 m2 and, together with the cosmetic clothing, lingerie and accessories collections, for the first time, include the H&MHome collection. This product line comes to the city of Madrid in direct competition with Zara Home and other brands that have already included household utensils in their collections.
