Nicolette Naumann, Vice President of Ambiente, was responsible for announcing at a press conference held on 11 October all the news of the next edition of the largest fair of consumer goods in Europe, which will take place from 10 to 14 February 2017. NEWS BRABANTIA SUPPORTS THE OCEAN CLEANUP With the new and sustainable newIcon pedal bucket, recently launched on the market, Brabantia helps manage the plastic waste in the waters of the world; because, for each newIcon pedal bucket it sells, the firm agrees to make a donation to The Ocean Cleanup campaign to contribute to the removal of plastic from the oceans. THE DALPER BRAND, NOW WITH UTILNOX The Dalper brand continues operating in the Spanish market, now in the hands of a new distributor, Utilnox, which was presented for the first time during the last Hostelco event. Utilnox, headed by two professionals fromDalper Spain, is, unlike the latter, a direct distributor of the Portuguese factory Dalper-Cutelarias e productos de mesa S.A. In fact, the manufacturer itself is a partner of the distributor, which, in addition to the Dalper brand of cutlery, also distributes in Spain the cutlery of Magefesa and the Pontesa brand of porcelain. The latter is manufactured in Portugal and recovers the models previously marketed by the Santa Clara brand. THE MAR MENOR, FIRST STOP OF ARCOS IN THE START OF A UNIQUE SERIES Since its creation more than 280 years ago, the quality of its knives has been one of Arcos’s main concerns. Now, it is the quality of cuisine, which is why it has just started a series of gastronomic days called ‘Cooking the environment’, in which it will demonstrate, with first class chefs, how to obtain, take care of and work with the best local products. The first chapter took place in the incomparable waters of the spanish Mar Menor. CHEF & SOMMELIER AND THE FEDERATION OF CHEFS AND PASTRY COOKS FORM AN ALLIANCE Juan Vidal, CEO of Chef and Sommelier in Spain, and Mario Sandoval, President of FACYRE and chef of the renowned Coque Restaurant, have signed a collaboration agreement in order to achieve common goals and boost Spanish cuisine. As the first dish of this agreement, the kitchenware brand accompanied the Federation of Chefs and Pastry Cooks in the 2nd Conference on Science and Gastronomy, held on 17 and 18 October at the Experimental Farm «El Encin» inAlcalá de Henares, home of the largest Collection of Vine Varieties in Spain, with 3,532 accessions.
