abstracts LATEST NEWS DURALEX CELEBRATES 70 YEARS The f irst tests on manufacturing tempered glass by the Saint Gobain Group date from 1939, but filing the patent relating to applying the procedure in manufacturing crockery and creating the Duralex brand did not happen until 6th June 1945, 70 years ago. ROLSER TO DEVELOP A MOTORISED SHOPPING TROLLEY Through an agreement with the Special Work Centre, Esclatec, signed at the end of July in the Barcelona Activa Auditorium, the Alicante Company, Rolser, is now working on the development and manufacture of a new motorised shopping trolley model, based on the MERCAR® trolley, designed by Esclatec itself, whose workers are people with cerebral palsy or similar disabilities. The «Estallido» Association created this centre 15 years ago with the support of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia and the ONCE Foundation to promote the integration of these people into employment, with the main goal being their social inclusion.
