No hay que olvidar que la instalación de fuentes de generación de energía renovable es una alternativa para generar energía gratuita, pero debemos tener en cuenta también las alternativas para reducir el consumo de energía en el establecimiento. Con este objetivo precisamente, el de poner luz y prestar la ayuda que parte del sector hotelero demanda, el ITH ha puesto en marcha, en el marco del proyecto “Modelo ITH de Sostenibilidad Turística” subvencionado por la Secretaría de Estado de Turismo, el Programa de Rehabilitación Energética en Establecimientos Turísticos “ITHSaveHotel”, que tiene como objetivo facilitar al empresario hotelero la oportunidad de rehabilitar sus instalaciones energéticas, a través de un modelo de implantación de soluciones coordinadas por el ITH con un experimentado equipo técnico, encabezado por un project manager, y avalado técnicamente por la aportación de los socios tecnológicos (todos ellos primeras marcas) que abarcan desde la asesoría técnica-energética, el diseño y la arquitectura, el proyecto de ingeniería, la implantación de soluciones, el mantenimiento de instalaciones, etc., así como alguna otra área aledaña (envolvente, ventanas, revestimientos, saneamientos, accesibilidad, gestión operativa, transformación digital, consultoría de sostenibilidad, etc.). Una de las ventajas de participar en el programa “ITHSaveHotel” es contar con la oportunidad de tener una asesoría técnica y energética integral, en la que el hotel contará con una auditoría gratuita de sus instalaciones, que a su vez incluye un plan de mejora energética de su edificio en el que se valorarán las actuaciones necesarias para reducir el consumo energético y el coste asociado y reducir por tanto la huella de carbono asociada a la emisión de gases de efecto invernadero. Si el hotel acepta el proyecto de instalaciones presentado, se llevará a cabo la implementación del mismo. Para hacer llegar toda esta información al hotelero y animar al sector a llevar a cabo adecuaciones en materia energética, el ITH ha organizado como todos los años una nueva edición de las ITH Hotel Energy Meeting, que, tras el parón estival, se reanudaron el 27 de septiembre en Santander, para continuar el 6 de octubre en San Sebastián, el 19 de octubre en Madrid, el 3 de noviembre en Barcelona y, por último, el 22 de noviembre en Gran Canaria. El objetivo con este ciclo de jornadas es lograr que los asistentes puedan adentrarse en el concepto de gestión energética integral y los distintos modelos de servicios energéticos (incluyendo la fotovoltaica) que pueden aplicarse para minimizar la inversión, y a conocer las nuevas tecnologías más innovadoras en este proceso, así como otras opciones financieras apropiadas para abordar la rehabilitación energética de sus establecimientos. Ahora más que nunca, el sector hotelero tiene la oportunidad de reforzar su competitividad apostando por la sostenibilidad y la eficiencia energética optando por soluciones únicas e innovadoras que permitirán adaptarse a las legislaciones actuales y venideras y recuperar parte de la rentabilidad perdida. n It must be remembered that installing sources of renewable energy generation is an alternative for generating free energy, however we must also bear in mind other alternatives that reduce the consumption of energy in the establishment. It is with this objective, that of highlighting and providing the help being called for by the part of the hotel sector, that the ITH has launched the ITHSaveHotel Programme for the Energy Refurbishment of Tourism Establishments, which forms part of the ITH Tourism Sustainability Model project, subsidised by the Secretary of State for Tourism. This programme aims to give the hotel business owner the opportunity to rehabilitate their energy installations, by means of a model to deploy solutions coordinated by the ITH, with an experienced technical team, led by a project manager, and technically endorsed by the contributions of technological partners (all of which are from leading brands) covering the spectrum from technical-energy advice, design and architecture, to the engineering project, implementation of solutions, installation maintenance, and so on, as well as any other immediate area (enclosures, windows, cladding, sewerage, accessibility, operational management, digital transformation, sustainability consultancy, etc.). One of the advantages of taking part in the ITHSaveHotel Programme is the opportunity to receive integrated energy and technical advice, in which the hotel will benefit from a free audit of its installations that in turn includes an energy improvement plan of the building. This plan assesses the actions needed to reduce energy consumption and the associated cost, and thus reduce the carbon footprint associated with GHG emissions. If the hotel accepts the installation project submitted, its implementation will take place. So that all this information reaches the hotel owner, and the sector is encouraged to undertake adaptations as regards energy, the ITH has organised, as it does every year, a new edition of the ITH Hotel Energy Meetings that, following the summer break, returned on 27 September in Santander, to be followed by 6 October in San Sebastián, 19 October in Madrid, 3 November in Barcelona and finally, 22 November in Gran Canaria. The goal of this seminar cycle is to ensure that attendees gain an insight into the concept of integrated energy management and the different energy services models (including PV) that can be applied to minimise the investment and learn about new most innovative technologies in this process, as well other suitable financial options to address the energy refurbishment of their establishments.
