This analysis allows appropriate measures to be planned to avoid unscheduled stoppages that could jeopardise production. In terms of costs, Schaeffler has opted for a transparent model that is split between the acquisition of the hardware and a periodic fee for the digital service. In this way, the operator always knows the total cost of the CM system, which amounts to a few cents a day per sensor.
