As the operation time increases, OPTIME gains an increasingly better understanding of the properties of each machine, thanks to the combination of automated functions, the algorithms for specific types of damage and its machine learning functions. Results and costs OPTIME provides the operator with an improved overview of the analysis results of the entire plant. This analysis allows appropriate measures to be planned to avoid unscheduled stoppages that could jeopardise production. In terms of costs, Schaeffler has opted for a transparent model that is split between the acquisition of the hardware and a periodic fee for the digital service. In this way, the operator always knows the total cost of the CM system, which amounts to a few cents a day per sensor.
