Actualmente, muchas islas están inmersas en la transición energética pero la mayoría de ellas no tienen la experiencia necesaria para poner en marcha inversiones concretas, acceder a financiación e impulsar así proyectos en este ámbito. Para resolver esta necesidad de las islas, un consorcio interdisciplinar de diez socios de seis países europeos ha unido fuerzas en NESOI para apoyar, de forma personalizada, proyectos innovadores de transición energética y energías renovables en diferentes etapas de desarrollo, todo ello con una garantía de viabilidad técnica y económica. Liderados por SINLOC – Sistema Iniziative Locali, el consorcio está formado por R2M Solution, RINA Consulting, ZABALA Innovation Consulting, Asociación Helénica de Economía Energética, Fundación CIRCE, Centre for Research and Technology Hellas, E.ON, Deloitte yWOLF THEISS. Las islas beneficiarias se seleccionarán mediante dos convocatorias competitivas de proyectos, la primera de las cuales se pondrá enmarcha en el tercer trimestre de este año. Las iniciativas seleccionadas recibirán recursos por un importe global de 6,2 M€, destinados amovilizar inversiones de al menos 100 M€ mediante la interceptación de recursos privados o públicos también de otros programas europeos. Hasta entonces, el consorcio ha lanzado una encuesta para conocer las necesidades de las islas para poder así adaptar sus servicios. Los interesados principales a los que se ha contactado incluyen desde organismos del sector público (autoridades locales, gobiernos nacionales y regionales) hasta organizaciones privadas y público-privadas, pasando por productores y distribuidores de energía. Entre los datos preliminares recogidos, más del 35% de los encuestados han asegurado estar trabajando en futuros proyectos de transición energética de las islas centrados en la producción de electricidad a partir de fuentes de energía renovable, seguidos de proyectos de Many islands are currently engaged in the energy transition, however most do not have the necessary experience to put into place the correct level of investment, to access financing and thereby foster projects this field. To respond to these islands’ needs, a crossdisciplinary consortium of ten partners from six European countries have joined forces under NESOI to provide tailor-made support for innovative energy transition and renewable energy projects in different stages of development, all this with technical and economic feasibility guaranteed. Coordinated by SINLOC - Sistema Iniziative Locali, the consortium comprises R2M Solution, RINA Consulting, ZABALA Innovation Consulting, the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics, the CIRCE Foundation, the Hellas Centre for Research and Technology, E.ON, Deloitte andWOLF THEISS. The beneficiary islands will be selected through two competitive calls for entries, the first of which will be opened in Q3 this year. The selected initiatives will receive resources totalling €6.2m, designed tomobilise investments of at least €100m through the uptake of private and public resources fromother European programmes. So far, the consortium has launched a survey to learn about the needs of the islands in order to adapt their services. The interested parties contacted include public sector entities (local authorities, local and regional governments) and even private and publicprivate organisations, as well as utilities and energy distributors. Of the initial data collated, more than 35% of those surveyed have confirmed that they will be working on future energy transition projects on the islands that focus on electricity production from renewable energy sources, followed by energy storage projects (approximately 10%) and electricity distribution (around 10%). Support platform for the islands To centralise the tasks to achieve the objectives set by the islands, NESOI is developing a physical and digital platform that will provide them with training, technical support, as well as self-analysis of their eligibility for the allocation of funding, collaboration opportunities and best practices to continue supporting the projects during their development. Así, con el fin de impulsar la transición energética y contribuir a la aplicación de las políticas recogidas en el Pacto Verde Europeo, NESOI (“New Energy Solutions Optimised for Islands”) buscará islas europeas dispuestas a participar en el proyecto para liberar todo su potencial en materia energética.
